Christopher Salyer Director of Sales
Christopher joins The Cavalier from his most recent position as the Director of Sales & Marketing and Acting General Manager of Virginia's Natural Bridge Park & Historic Hotel. His previous experience includes the historic Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, followed by 14-years in D.C. in food & beverage and sales for Starwood and Hilton, as well as an independent Capitol Hill boutique property. Christopher brings a wealth of multi-market and guest-centric leadership experience, and is proud to be a trusted leader in The Cavalier's renaissance.
Christine Hunter Director of Catering
In her role as Director of Catering, Christine will book and plan all of the hotels' social events. From glamourous weddings, elegant galas and unique office parties, she is excited to meet and exceed every guest's whims and expectations. Christine joins the team from her recent position as the Client Collaborator at the private conference planning company, The Balcom Group. Christine's previous experience includes a distinguished 14-year tenure with Marriott where she served in a variety of positions including Director of Event Planning and Director of Catering.
Greg Barnhill Corporate Chef
With a culinary career spanning three decades, Chef Barnhill has been involved in almost every aspect of food service from NFL stadiums, free standing restaurants, private clubs and iconic resort hotels to private and commercial airline catering. Chef Barnhill has worked at notable resorts including the historic Omni Homestead Resort, the famed Broadmoor, the historic Denver Athletic Club and several high end restaurants in the Bahamas.
Dan Elinan Executive Chef
Executive Chef Dan Elinan will be responsible for the culinary direction of all food and beverage outlets for the hotel including restaurants Becca, The Hunt Room and The Raleigh Room. With an extensive fine-dining background in food-centric cities around the world, Chef Elinan will oversee all three restaurants from creating the menus to hiring and supervising kitchen staff. Chef will also oversee all banquets and catering for The Cavalier, upholding the hotel's legacy of incomparable weddings and events. Prior to joining The Cavalier, Chef Elinan was most recently Executive Chef at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, which included overseeing popular restaurants Catch 31 and Salacia.
